| What I like best about all of Jamie Oliver's books (and this is no exception) is that he makes fine foods accessible (I said fine foods, not fussy foods). This is real food made from fresh ingredients, bursting with complex melanges of flavors -- yet in Oliver's hands the recipes all seem not only approachable but accomplishable -- even for relative beginner cooks. In this volume, England's "Naked Chef" travels to Italy to explore this country's many culinary styles. The results are a unique collection of authentic recipes - -- many with Oliver's special touches added -- that are the next best thing to visiting Italy. His style, as always, is casual and entertaining, yet highly educational. Pair that with the gorgeous full color photography and high production value of this book and you've got a cookbook you'll want to read like a novel.
Chapters Include: Antipasti - Starters; Street Food & Pizza; Primi -- First Courses: Soups, Pasta, Risotto; Insalate -- Salads; Secondi -- Main Courses: Fish, Meat; Contorni -- Side Dishes; Dolci -- Desserts. Sample Recipes from Jamie's Italy
