  • For grilled cheese lovers -- Instead of butter on the bread use a ittle mayo. Mayo has a higher burn resistance. Delicious! Bobbi, Summerville, SC new (Added: 6-Jun-2006)
  • The best way to not cry when chopping onions is to breathe only through your mouth...like a fish. Silly sounding, I know, but I swear it works! Kate Ramsey, Minnesota new (Added: 7-Jan-2006)
  • Make your own homemade TV dinners for the freezer using leftovers from dinner - the 3 section reusable plastic containers work well. A protein, vegetable & starch complete a healthy meal. If all 3 sections aren't full, wait for leftovers from another meal to complete the frozen dinner container. To create a delicious "new" dinner, pop frozen sections out onto a dinner plate and reheat in the microwave. NEVER reheat in plastic containers. Lori Thibideau, Wellness Consultant Rotonda West, FL new (Added: 7-Mar-2006)
  • When defrosting meat, use an ice cream container, the plastic ones the ice cream comes in from the store, there will be no leakage onto the fridge shelves. Also can use with any food being defrosted, but is great for meats as it contains the blood. Dorothy, Tilton IL new (Added: 7-Nov-2003)

And if you're using egg, drop the egg into the plastic bag the fish/meat came in, whisk it right in the bag, then toss out. Again, no clean up. Chris, Bloomfield, NJ new (Added: 8-Jul-2005)
