To make an outdoor hand washing station use a clean milk jug. Tie a string to a golf tee or nail and poke the tee into the side of the jug, near the bottom, tie the string to the jug so it won't get dropped. Fill the jug with water. To use, pull the tee out, loosen the lid and a stream of water will pour out. Replace the tee and recap when finished. You may also tie a nylon stocking with a bar of soap into the toe to it. TIP! Set this out of the way so the mud won't become a problem. I perfer using a golf tee rather than a nail. Nails tend to rust. The wooden tee will swell a little and not drip as much when not in use.

We love S'Mores when sitting around the campfire, and instead of using chocolate squares, we use Nutella! My husband also likes to use chunky peanut butter either alone or with the Nutella. We like using the Nutella in place of the chocolate squares because it's already creamy, and easy to store and use.

Instead of hunting for dry twigs and branches to light your fire, bring along a nice bag of Match Light Charcoal (doesn't need lighter fluid) to get the process moving quickly. Add wood in a teepee around charcoal...a great time saver!

When tent camping, keep your food in empty drywall compound buckets that have been thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. Keeps critters out, food dry in case of rain and can be used as seats around the campfire.

For great homemade fire starters, put wood shavings into a paper muffin liner with a tealight candle in the middle (Use scented candles for extra fragrance. Melt some wax and pour over the shavings to hold everything together. When dry, wrap each fire starter in newspaper or tissue paper.

I bought one of those "bread for two" breadmakers. When we go on the road I pre mix various kinds of bread loaf ingredients and put them in small plastic bags. It's nice to just pour in the bags and turn the breadmaker on. Saves on space and no mess with the flour. Heaven is smelling the aroma of bread baking on a cold rainy day in a campground.
