Recipe for Molokai Mike Cocktail. Recreating this two-tone Trader Vic's specialty at home is surprisingly easy.
Ingredients
- Bottom Layer:
- 1 ounce silver rum
- 1 ounce orange juice
- 1 ounce lemon juice
- 1/2 ounce brandy
- 1/2 ounce orgeat syrup
- 1/2 cup crushed ice
- Top Layer:
- 1 ounce gold rum
- 1 ounce grenadine
- 1 cup crushed ice
Directions
- Serve in a Molokai Mike Glass or a Double Old-Fashioned Glass
- Combine the silver rum, orange juice, lemon juice, brandy, orgeat syrup and 1/2 cup crushed ice in an electric blender and pulse for 1 to 2 seconds, just until blended. Pour into the glass.
- Combine the gold rum, grenadine, and 1 cup crushed ice in the blender and blend until smooth, about 15 seconds. Gently pour over the mixture in the glass.
