Sesame Broccoli

Sesame seeds and Asian flavors make everyday broccoli special.

1 1/2 lbs. fresh broccoli, trimmed
2 tsp. vegetable, canola or peanut oil
2 T rice vinegar
2 T soy sauce
2 T toasted sesame seeds
2 tsp. sugar

Serves 6

Remove tough ends from broccoli stalks, remove large outer leaves and cut into florets, then slice floret into thinly. Cook broccoli in a small amount of water, or even better, use a steamer to steam it until crisp-tender, about 4-5 minutes. Drain and transfer to a serving dish. Combine remaining ingredients in a small saucepan and bring to a boil. Pour over broccoli and serve immediately.
