Au Gratin Potatoes

Note from Cheri:
The Idaho Potato Commission shared this recipe with us. It's a classic that's just as good today as it was in your grandmother's day. Perfect comfort food!

2 lbs. Idaho Potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced (about 5 cups)
2 T melted butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1 C sharp cheddar cheese, grated
1/4C fresh bread crumbs
potatoes

Servings: 6

Pre-heat oven to 425°.

Lightly grease a shallow 1 1/2 quart casserole with butter. Arrange sliced potatoes in layers. Sprinkle with melted butter, salt and pepper. Top with grated cheddar cheese and bread crumbs.
