Recipe for Sauerkraut Slaw. This dish is extra special when served with a pork roast.


  • 1 can (27 ounces) sauerkraut
  • 3/4 cup sugar (or to taste)
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 1 small green pepper, diced


  1. Drain sauerkraut juice into sauce pan and add sugar. Bring liquid to a boil until sugar is melted. In a large bowl, combine sauerkraut, onion, and green pepper. Pour the sugar/juice over the mixture. May be served right away or refrigerated for a later time.
