Author Notes: This mixture can be used in a variety of different recipes (such as Stuffed Red Pepper). Divide the mixture into 4-oz portions and freeze in small freezer bags, then thaw when you are ready to use.

This recipe is part of an article on Diabetic Cooking for One that diabetic cooking guru Marilyn Helton did for us.
Ingredients: 1-1/2 pounds lean ground chuck
1 tablespoon parsley flakes
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup fine dry bread crumbs
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Instructions:

Makes 6 (4 oz) Servings

Thoroughly mix all the ingredients in a large bowl. Divide the meat into six (4-oz) portions and place in small freezer bags. Freeze immediately. Use any refrigerated portions within 48 hours.

255 Cal; 16 g Total Fat (6 g Sat Fat), 7 g Carb; 71mg Cholesterol; 161 mg Sodium; 23 g Protein
