Perfect cupcake with a taste of Chai.

Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons cake flour or all-purpose flour
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons chai spice mix
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon (or more) rose water

Directions

  1. Whisk together the flour, sugar and chai spice mix in a large bowl.
  2. Whisk butter, milk, egg and rose water together in a separate bowl.
  3. Stir the dry and wet ingredients together to form a batter.
  4. Grease and flour the inside of a microwave-safe cup, ramekin, or mug. It should be able to hold 2-1/2 to 3 cups. I have a microwave-safe coffee mug that works well.
  5. Pour the batter into the container.
  6. Microwave on full power for 3 minutes. Times may vary depending on the wattage of your microwave.
  7. To serve, cut cake in half to form two mini-cakes. Top with powdered sugar, or whipped cream.
