| Author Notes: | This is the liquid sweetening syrup used in most bars -- it's also handy to sweeten cold drinks like iced tea or coffee. |

2 cups water
2 cup sugar |
| Instructions: |
Makes About 2 Cups Mix water and sugar and in a small saucepan. Heat over medium heat just until sugar dissolves and mixture becomes clear. Store covered in the refrigerator. |
