| Author Notes: | No doubt about it, summer is the time for ice cold beverages. The trouble is, the melting ice causes the drink to dilute and lose flavor. The folks at Torani, who make regular and sugar free syrups in a huge variety of flavors, suggest making flavored ice cubes to creatively solve this problem. Small on effort but huge on impact, your drinks' flavors will slowly transform as the ice melts. Use different colored ice cubes to contrast with drinks for visual impact. Find syrups in gourmet shops, well stocked grocery stores and online retailers. Keep in mind these syrups come in sugar free versions -- perfect for diabetics and low carb dieters. |
