Author Notes: This great smoothie recipe -- perfect for breakfast or snacks, was given to us by our friend Amanda Formaro of TheFamilyCorner.com online magazine. Smoothies are a wonderful way to cool off in the heat of the summer, or anytime for that matter! Pull out the blender and give this recipe a whirl!
Ingredients: 1 cup skim milk
1 banana
1 teaspoon sugar or honey
a drop or two of vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions: Place all ingredients into a blender and whirl. If you prefer your smoothies thick, decrease milk, or add 2-3 ice cubes.
