Author Notes: Here is a tasty party snack that also makes a terrific gift, on its own or tucked into a gift basket.
Ingredients: 1 egg white
2 tablespoons cold water
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon allspice
1/4 teaspoon cloves
1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 cups pecan halves
Instructions:

Preheat oven to 250°F. Grease a large baking sheet.

Mix all ingredients together and let stand for 15 minutes. Spread nuts in a single layer on the baking sheet. Bake for 30 minutes. Use an oiled metal spatula to carefully turn nuts over. Bake another 30 minutes. Cool completely and store in an airtight container.
