Servings: 4
Author Notes: It doesn't get any better than this -- chewy New York style pizza with all the classic toppings -- sausage, pepperoni, onions, green peppers, mushrooms and olives (or whatever your favorite combos happen to be). The fresh basil, while not authentically New York, adds a delicious touch.

Ingredients: 1 recipe New York Style Pizza Dough (click here for recipe )
2/3 cup herb tomato sauce (click here for recipe)

6 ounces grated mozzarella cheese

Other Suggested Toppings:
2 Italian sausages , casings removed and cooked and crumbled
2 -3 ounces thinly sliced pepperoni
1/2 small onion, thinly sliced
1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
1/4 cup thinly sliced mushrooms
1/4 cup sliced black olives

3 -4 tablespoons fresh basil, chiffonade
Instructions: Preheat oven to 500° F.

Roll out pizza dough. Brush dough evenly with sauce. Spread mozzarella cheese on pizza leaving a 1/2 border for crust. Top with toppings and, if desired, chiffonade of basil.

Enjoy!
