| Ingredients: |
2 eggs beaten
3 slices of bread torn 1/2 cup milk 1 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon pepper 2 pounds ground beef 1 1/2 cups sharp cheddar cheese 2/3 cup onions, diced 1/2 cup carrots, finely grated 1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar 1/4 cup ketchup 1 tablespoon prepared mustard |
| Instructions: |
Preheat oven to 350° F. Combine eggs, bread, milk, salt and pepper in a mixing bowl, mix well. Allow to sit at least 10 minutes. Add ground beef, grated cheese, carrots, and onions; mix well. Shape mixture into a loaf, and place on a lightly greased broiler pan. Bake for 45 minutes. Combine remaining ingredients and spoon over loaf. Bake an additional 20 to 25 minutes until done. Let stand 5 minutes before slicing. |
