Servings: 4
Author Notes: Here is an elegant preparation for steaks. You can make it home under the broiler or surprise your camp mates on your next camping trip by serving a gourmet dinner under the stars.
Ingredients: 6 ounces crumbled Roquefort or other quality blue cheese
6 tablespoons butter, softened
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
4 rib eye steaks, 8 ounces each
salt and pepper to taste
Instructions: Combine the blue cheese, butter and Worchestershire in a small bowl, stir to mix. Season the steaks with salt and pepper and cook under a preheated broiler or a hot ourdoor grill until done to your liking. Spoon the blue cheese mixture over the steaks and return to the broiler or grill just until the cheese melts, about 30 seconds to 1 minute. Serve immediately.
