Romantic Dinner for Two

Notes from the highly cynical Cheri:
It's getting on that time of the year again. February, Valentine's Day. A time for you and your loved one to sit down for a romantic dinner, followed by some romantic...you know. We've got just the fare, too, as you'll see by the recipe links below.

If you plan to go the full Monty and include the chocolate truffles with your coffee or tea, be sure to make them a day or two head of time, as they are time consuming. While the truffles are an elegant touch, you can easily skip them, as the warm dark chocolate cakes are more than enough dessert for most people. On the other hand, chocolate could be fun later on...

Now, if by chance you're not currently involved, don't let this great dinner go to waste. Fix it for a platonic friend and have a great night co-miserating about your lack of love lives. Don't despair, love may be right around the corner (yeah, right). In any event, you'll know how to cook for it, when it happens. Let me, however, put in the disclaimer that knowing how to cook well will not necessarily help you in the "amour" department. Contrary to what we've been told, the way to a man's heart is not through his stomach. If that old adage were true, there would be no way a gorgeous, talented woman like myself, who can cook up a storm, would be single. I am and I rest my case.

Have a wonderful dinner, with whoever you decide to share it.

P.S. If either and/or both of you are vegetarians, be sure to check out our "Vegetarian Romantic Dinner For Two."
