Note
from Cheri:
To answer the age-old
question of what's the difference between Stuffing and Dressing - stuffing is
what's stuffed in the turkey, dressing is baked in its own dish, on the side.
But a lot of people use the terms interchangeably. For some people, it
just isn't Thanksgiving without Stuffing, and who can blame them. There's nothing
quite like a perfectly seasoned mound of savory stuffing, nestled among the other
Thanksgiving plate to make you truly feel like the holidays have arrived.
Stuffings are lots of fun to make, as you can really let your culinary creativity
fly. The basics are simple - bread or rice. From there, the sky's the limit! Experiment
with spices and herbs, add vegetables or even fruits, or how about oysters? Try
using different kinds of bread, or mix different types of rice. We've got some
great recipes on this page to get you started, but let them be a jumping off point
on the way to creating your "perfect" stuffing recipe. |
