| Reviving an Ancient Tradition! Mothering Day Cakes
In England in the 1600s,
an important part of the "Mothering Day" celebrations that took place
each May was the gifting of "Mothering Day Cakes" to one's Mom (or should
I say Mum, it was England, after all). While we don't have those ancient recipes,
we do think the tradition is one worth reviving. After all, what better way to
honor someone than baking them a cake? You know you're special when someone bakes
you a cake!  To
inspire you, we've collected some of our best cake recipes. They probably bear
little resemblance to the Mothering Cakes of old, but then again, they probably
taste better. Choose your Mom's favorite flavor and get baking!
