Author Notes:

Onion skins make a great natural dye for Easter Eggs. Experiment using different types of onions for a variety of shades and colors.

Supplies: raw eggs
the outer dry skins of onions
rubber bands (optional)
Instructions:

There are two options when dying eggs with onion skins. To achieve tonal variations, like the eggs in the photo, wrap the onion skins around raw eggs, then hard boil them this way. If you prefer one even tone to your eggs, just put the onion skins in the boiling water and hard boil as usual. That's all there is to it -- very easy and very little mess!
