  • Forget hair of the dog, if you've overindulged try a glass of club soda with about 1/2 teaspoon of Angostura bitters mixed in (bitters are an ingredient in many cocktails that have an herbal flavor). It takes away that queasy feeling (even the kind associated with stage fright, which is why Sam first prescribed).

  • Make sure your food display is at the opposite end of the room or house from the drink station and/or bar to allow for free flow of people and prevent clustering.

  • When mixing a drink,start with small cubes of ice and fill a 10 to 12 0z. glass to the rim packing the ice into the glass, add 1.5 oz. of liquor of your choice and fill with your favorite mix. I use a glass with a rough out side because people like the feel when holding the glass. There is nothing worse than having a drink that has lost all the ice and you are still sipping on it to be sociable.
