Pouch Dinners

Note from Cheri:
Wouldn't it be nice to simply take a package out of the freezer, pop it in the oven and have a great dinner? Now you can. These fast and easy dinners, made with chicken or fish, grains and vegetables freeze well (remember to blanch your vegetables first if they are destined for the freezer).

Of course, you don't have to freeze the pouch dinners, but I usually do make extras for that purpose. Even if you're making just enough for one time, they still save you time since there's very little cleanup. Everything is cooked together in one convenient pouch.

If you want to make your pouch dinners more elegant, wrap them in parchment paper instead of aluminum foil. Bring the parchment wrapped pouches to the table and dramatically slice them open in front of your guests.

Kids love these dinners too, as everyone gets their own individual pouch. We've got three great pouch dinners to get you started. More recipes will periodically be added to this page, so check back often.
