Note
from Cheri:
It's summer time and you know what that means. Time for grilling!
There's just nothing like the taste of freshly grilled food, and
we've got some great sauces, marinades and recipes that will work
for just about every taste.
While classic barbeque sauce is typically used for chicken and
beef, I have used mine to great success on grilled vegetables and
fish (I like it on salmon) as well. Our wine herb marinade is equally
as versatile. This is one of the few times I will adhere to the
white wine with chicken or fish, red wine with beef rule. Use a
hearty red wine in this recipe and tenderize a chunk of beef for
the grill. For slightly more exotic flavor use our honey lime marinade
on chicken, fish, or even pork.
Tandoori is a style of cooking in Indian cuisine that involves
a tandoor, an igloo shaped, very hot oven. You don't have to have
a tandoor to get some of that flavor at home, however, just use
our traditional yogurt based tandoori marinade. It's especially
good on chicken.
If all these sauces and marinades are leaving you with too many
choices, you'll just have to grill more often and try them all.
