Did you know that walnuts are one of the healthiest foods you can eat?  Walnuts are the only nut that contain a significant amount of omega-3 fatty acids. No other nut even comes close.  Eating a handful of walnuts every day is one small step you can take to protect your heart.  The U.S. Food and Drug Administration even approved a qualified health claim for walnuts, the first ever for a whole food.

Ingredients: 12 -14 cooking apples
1 1/2 cups water
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 1/2 cups walnuts
Instructions:

Peel and core apples and cut into 1-inch chunks. Place in a pot with the water then cover and cook, stirring frequently, until apples are tender, about 30 minutes.

Mash apples until texture is as smooth as you wish. Then add lemon juice, sugar and cinnamon.

Per Order: Stir 2 tablespoons spiced walnuts into 1/2  cup warm applesauce and serve immediately.
