Author Notes: This fabulous book brings a taste of the tropics to you, wherever you may actually physically be.
Ingredients: 2 teaspoons powdered sugar
freshly squeezed juice of 1/2 lime
2 ounces Cuban style or other golden rum
1/2 ounce Cointreau (orange liqueur)
lime slice for garnish
Instructions: Drop the sugar and lime juice into a rocks glass and mix with a spoon until a paste forms. Fill the glass with ice; add the rum and Cointreau. Cover with a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously for 5 seconds. Pour into glass and garnish with a lime slice.
