It may sound strange that a world class BBQ joint, complete with Texas roadhouse ambiance and down home southern style cooking, all set to the soundtrack of soulful blues, would be situated in Syracuse, New York (at least it's not New York City!!!), but that's just what the Dinosaur Bar B Que is. Folks from far and wide flock to this upstate new York eatery, a big biker hang out, for their incredible foods, but now you can get the same taste at home with the over 100 recipes in this book.
Many of the recipes are based around the restaurant's famous "Mutha Sauce" the Dinosaur's version of BBQ sauce (recipe is included in this book). The authors have found an infinite number of ways to use this versatile sauce. Many of them unexpected, such as Macaroni and Cheese Shepherd's Pie, Butterflied Leg of Lamb with Caramelized Onion BBQ Sauce, Clam, Shrimp and Scallop Pan Roast. Others are more traditional barbecue fare, like pulled pork, and of course, ribs. It's all completed with some delectable desserts that will cure any sweet tooth.
Recipes chapters include: Starters; Beef; Chicken; Fish; Lamb; Pork; Sides and Leftovers; and Desserts. Instructional chapters and sections give valuable tips for outdoor cooks, rib pit boss tips, and other handy information that will help turn even novices into experts at outdoor cooking and great barbecue.
