Wrong. You really can taste a difference in sea salt, as it contains trace elements and minerals from the ocean William Bounds salt cellar is the perfect accessory to grind their line of gourmet kosher and sea salts , as it easily reduces the coarse grains to a proper consistency for seasoning. The cellar's acrylic lid and flat sides enable you to stack several side-by-side for storing several of your favorite salts. It's easy to fill, simple to use and has a sleek design that adds style to any kitchen or table. All the salts we tried were terrific. We especially loved the Celtic Light Grey Onion Sea Salt -- harvested from the coast of Northern France -- which imparts a subtle onion flavor along with saltiness. Try it on fresh tomatoes for a real taste treat. Also noteworthy is the new Alaea Hawaiian Red Sea Salt, a blended salt that marries the flavorful salt gathered from the Hawaiian reefs with the islands' rich volcanic red clay. The result is a salt traditionally used to season pork for the luau or to preserve fish after the big catch. Much more than a tenderizer, the salt also adds color to the top of fish, steak, potatoes or other vegetables. William Bounds offers an extensive range of tasty salts including their gourmet Fleur de Sel Sea Salt, Coarse Sea Salt, California Garlic Sea Salt and Celtic Light Grey Sea Salt. |

I've often heard serious foodies ramble on ad nauseum about the virtues of sea salt. I must admit, I used to be skeptical. Salt is salt. Right?
