Anyone dealing with small space cooking -- RVers, boaters, or owners of cramped home kitchens, will especially appreciate the multi-tasking capabilities of this unique knife created by award winning Swiss designer Philipp Beyeler.
Made from high-quality Japanese steel, one side of the of the blade is serrated for cutting bread, tomatoes and other delicate ingredients; the other side is smooth and razor sharp to easily slice through fruits, vegetables, and meats. The knife's colorful nonstick coating prevents food from sticking to the blade and the ergonomic handle sports a soft grip for comfort.
We've been using the knife for about 2 weeks in our test kitchen and find it both functional and stylish. It's handy to be able to use a single knife to prepare an entire meal, and because of the nonstick surface cleanup is always easy -- even after chopping stocking dates. A color coordinated safety sheath helps protect the knife edge (and fingers from inadvertently connecting with steel) when the knife is not in use. The Dual Knife is 9-1/2-inches long and ergonomically designed for
right- or left-handed users.
