Here is a nice collection of easy to prepare recipes for those trying to eat healthy AND keep kosher, although you don't have to be keeping kosher or even Jewish to enjoy it. Anyone who wants or needs to eat healthy real foods and not processed artificial junk can make and enjoy these dishes. Those with special dietary needs like gluten sensitivities, wheat allergies, and diabetes will also finds lots of recipes here - along with over 150 whole grain/healthy fat recipes, there are amazingly they also use no artificial sweeteners either. Since this is a healthy cookbook with a large audience of people with special dietary needs, it would have been nice to see nutritional information included with the recipes. Also glaringly absent is the number of servings each recipe makes. But the author does get points for the wholesome whole grain, sugar free, quick and easy to fix kosher recipes. Chapters include: Breads; Appetizers; Soups; Salads and Dressings; Vegetables and Side Dishes; Kugels (Puddings); Dairy; Fish; Meat and Chicken; Desserts; Miscellaneous. |
