There are old fashioned and traditional drinks like Hot Buttered Rum, Wassail, and Mulled Cider along with a lot of creative new drinks. Some are sophisticated for gourmet palates, others will appeal to the kid in everyone. All in all it's a very well rounded collection. The book is beautifully produced and will give you tons of ideas when making holiday entertaining plans and menus. It would also make a lovely gift.
