| Author Notes: | In its basic form, the classic Daiquiri is just rum, lime juice and a little sugar. The second most popular version is to add a small splash of maraschino liqueur. From there, the variations are endless. This fruity frozen version is probably the most popular of all this drink's many incarnations. |
| Ingredients: |
2 ounces rum 1 ounce lime juice 1 teaspoon confectioner's sugar or simple syrup 3 ounces (3/4 cup) fresh hulled strawberries 1/2 ounce of maraschino liqueur or Cointreau or Chambord (optional) about 1 cup of ice mint sprigs and/or a whole strawberry for garnish |
| Instructions: | Blend all ingredients together in a blender until smooth. Garnish with mint sprigs and/or a whole strawberry. |
