If you haven't tried Mojitos before, you're in a for a treat. Rumor has it this was Ernest Hemmingway's favorite cocktail. This recipe makes a single cocktail. If you have a group, Mojitos are great made by the pitcher. Click here for recipe. |
| Ingredients: |
1 1/2 ounces light rum about 12 fresh mint leaves 1/2 lime 2 tablespoons simple syrup club soda |
| Instructions: | Put mint leaves in the bottom of a tall glass. Squeeze lime over mint leaves and add lime half to glass. Use the back of a spoon to muddle lime and mints leaves, crushing mint as much as possible to release its flavor. Add simple syrup and fill the glass with ice. Add rum and fill remainder of the glass with club soda. Stir gently. Garnish with lime wedge and/or more fresh mint leaves. |
