| Author Notes: | This cute gift tag is made from paper scraps and a regular round hole paper punch. |
| Supplies: |
paper scraps in yellow, green and red
rectangular shape cutter tool and/or template (we used
Fiskars
Shape Cutter with the Rectangle template) |
| Instructions: |
Step 1. We used the Fiskars Shape Cutter with the Rectangle template to cut most of shapes for this tag. You can make your tag any size you like. The tag in the photo measures 4 inches by 2 1/2 inches. Cut a rectangle the size of the tag from green paper. Step 2. Cut another rectangle with an outer dimension of 4 inches by 2 1/2, with an inner cutout of 3 inches, by 1 1/2 inches (very quick and easy to do with the Shape Cutter tool). Step 3. Use a round hole punch to punch holes through the border of the red rectangle. Step 4. Spray the back of the red rectangle with spray adhesive or you can alternatively run the piece through an adhesive machine like those made by Xyron. Step 5. Glue the red punched rectangle to the green rectangle. Step 6. Use decorative scissors to cut a small rectangular shape from yellow card stock. Step 8. Spray the back of the yellow rectangle with spray adhesive or you can alternatively run the piece through an adhesive machine like those made by Xyron and attach it to the green rectangle. Step 9. Use a round hole punch to punch a hole in the center top edge of the tag. Thread a narrow yellow paper strip through the hole in order to attach it to the gift. |
