Serve these dumplings with Low Carb Beef Stroganoff and Deep Fried Spinach (see recipe links below).

Ingredients: 1/2 cup heavy cream
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup whole wheat flour
1/4 cup whey protein
1 egg
Instructions: Scald cream. Remove from heat and add flour and whey protein, butter, and salt. Beat with an electric mixer until smooth. Add egg. Beat again until smooth.

Drop by teaspoonfuls into 4 cups boiling water and cover tightly. Cook for 10 min. Drain, toss with more butter, cracked pepper and serve as side dish . They will be irregular and soft.

Total carbs: 26
Per serving: 3.25 net carbs
