Holiday parties mean plenty of friends, food, and celebratory libations. Here are five quick and festive party drinks that are sure to add some sparkle to your seasonal celebrations.

1. Honey-and-Spice Cider for a Crowd
  • 1 gallon apple cider
  • 1/2 cup orange blossom or regular honey
  • 1 (6-ounce) container lemonade concentrate
  • 1 (6-ounce) container orange juice concentrate
  • 6 whole cloves
  • 3 whole allspice
  • 2 whole star anise
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 3 cinnamon sticks

1. Pour the cider into a large heavy-bottomed saucepan. Stir in the honey and the lemonade and orange juice concentrates.

2. Place the spices in the center of a clean square of cheesecloth and tie with a piece of kitchen string to make a sachet. Immerse the sachet in the cider and heat over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until the cider is steaming and nearly, but not at, the boiling point.

3. Turn heat to low and allow sachet to remain in cider for about 30 minutes. Discard sachet and serve cider warm.
