| Author Notes: | This old fashioned favorite is still delicious today. It's the perfect thing to warm cold snow bunnies at an apres ski party. It's also much lighter (fat, not alcohol) than most other drinks of its kind. |
| Ingredients: |
2 tablespoons molasses 2 tablespoons honey 2 tablespoons water 1/2 teaspoon ginger 4 cups milk 1/2 cup dark brandy whipped cream for garnish nutmeg for garnish |
| Instructions: | Combine molasses, honey, water and ginger in a medium saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until sugar dissolves. Slowly add milk and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until completely heated. Do not boil. Remove from heat and stir in brandy. Pour into cups and top with whipped cream and sprinkle with nutmeg. |
