Author Notes: This hot punch recipe, perfect for Christmas, New Years and other holiday get togethers, came to us courtesy of the Cherry Marketing Institute.
Ingredients: 1 can or bottle (46 ounces) cherry juice blend
2 tablespoons sugar
juice and peel of 1 lemon
1/2 teaspoon whole cloves
1 cinnamon stick
1 lemon, thinly sliced (for garnish)
Instructions: Combine all ingredients in large saucepan. Simmer over low heat 10 minutes or until hot. Remove and discard lemon peel, cloves and cinnamon stick. Carefully pour into heat-proof punch bowl or cups. Garnish with lemon slice.
