Jazz up boring French fries with these spuds. Homemade fries are topped with course sea salt and fresh rosemary. Dip these delicious fries in one of three sauces.
Rosemary sea salt fries with three dipping sauces
Yield 4-6
Ingredients:
- 1-1/2 pounds russet potatoes, washed and cut into thin strips
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh rosemary
- 1 teaspoon course sea salt
Directions:
- Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F.
- In a large bowl, toss the potatoes with the olive oil making sure the potatoes are evenly coated. Spray a large baking sheet with cooking spray and spread the potatoes out evenly on the baking sheet.
- Bake the potatoes for 25-30 minutes or until they are golden and crispy.
- While the fries are baking in a bowl, add the sea salt and fresh rosemary and mash them together using the back of a spoon.
- Once the fries are done, remove them from the oven and toss or sprinkle the rosemary salt evenly over the fries. Serve with one (or all) of the three dipping sauces.
Lemon roasted garlic mayonnaise dipping sauce
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup high-quality mayonnaise
- 4 cloves roasted garlic, minced
- 1 lemon, juiced and zested
- Pinch sea salt and black pepper to taste
Directions:
- Mix all the ingredients in a bowl. Store in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
Honey mustard dipping sauce
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons prepared yellow mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1-1/2 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon orange blossom honey
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions:
- Mix all the ingredients in a bowl. Store in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
Curried ketchup dipping sauce
Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil
- 1/4 cup finely chopped shallot (from about 1 medium shallot)
- 1 teaspoon curry powder
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
- Over medium heat add the coconut oil and the shallot. Sauté for 3 minutes or until the shallot is translucent.
- In a bowl add the sautéed shallots, curry powder, ketchup and salt and pepper. Mix well and store in an airtight container until ready to serve.
