Delicious and easy salad dressing recipes that take your salads from ordinary to extra-ordinary.

I'm not a fan of store bought salad dressings. To me, they're just too high in unhealthy fats, sugar and calories — not to mention the fact they just don't have enough flavor. I prefer to drizzle my veggie salads with dressings that are bursting with a taste that I can still feel good about.

Caesar dressing

Yields 1-1/2 cups

  • 2 large cloves garlic
  • 3/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
  • 1/2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup grapeseed oil
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon parsley

Directions:

  1. Combine all the ingredients (except for last three ingredients) in blender and blend briefly. While blender is still running, slowly pour in the grapeseed oil.
  2. Slow blender and add cheese and parsley (to aid with the garlic aroma!).

Sesame lemon dressing

Yields 3/4 cup

Ingredients:

  • 1 lemon, squeezed
  • 1/8 cup organic sesame oil
  • 1/8 cup water
  • 1/4 cup grapeseed oil
  • 2 pinches sea salt
  • 4-5 packets Truvia
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons sesame seeds

Directions:

  1. Blend everything (except the sesame seeds) until it becomes creamy in color.
  2. Add the seeds.

Poppyseed dressing

Yields 1-1/2 cups

  • 1/3 cup raw sugar
  • 1/3 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1 cup grapeseed oil
  • 1-1/2 tablespoon organic poppy seeds

Directions:

  1. Blend till smooth, then slowly add the grapeseed oil.
  2. Slow blender and add poppy seeds.
