It’s snowy and cold outside, but you don’t care. You’re inside, surrounded by your family and friends, full of Christmas cheer. All you need now is a Christmas cocktail.
You’re in luck. Here are seven festive cocktails to keep your guests buzzing.
Hot chocolate
Ingredients:
- 1 ounce Irish cream
- 1 ounce cinnamon schnapps
- Splash of cream
Directions:
- Mix all ingredients in a shot glass. Stir. Shoot.
Christmas ornament
Ingredients:
- 1 ounce grenadine
- 1 ounce crème de menthe
Directions:
- Put a spoon over the mouth of the shot glass. Pour the grenadine first over the spoon and then the crème de menthe. It should form two distinct layers.
Adult ginger beer
Ingredients:
- 1 ounce vanilla vodka
- 6 ounces ginger beer
Directions:
- Pour the vodka into a tall glass, then add the ginger beer. The carbonation and sugar in the ginger beer will mix the drink.
Mint martini
Ingredients:
- 1 ounce crème de menthe
- 1 ounce vodka
- Splash of Irish crème
Directions:
- Put all the ingredients in a shaker. Shake well and pour into a martini glass. Serve with a peppermint patty.
Hot cinnamon toddy
Ingredients:
- 1 bag of tea
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1/2 ounce vodka
- 1/2 ounce cinnamon schnapps
- 1 tablespoons honey
Directions:
- Brew the tea and pour it into a mug or glass so that it is three-quarters full. Add the rest of the ingredients and stir. Serve hot.
Holiday punch
Ingredients:
- 1 container frozen fruit punch
- 1 2-liter bottle of ginger ale
- 1 cup citrus rum
Directions:
- Put the frozen fruit punch into a pitcher, then pour the ginger ale over it. Use a wooden spoon to break up the frozen punch and let it melt.
- When the fruit punch is broken up, add the rum and stir gently to mix.
Candy cane
Ingredients:
- 1 ounce vodka
- 1 ounce white chocolate liqueur
- 1 ounce grenadine
- White chocolate shavings for decoration
Directions:
- Put the vodka, liqueur, and grenadine into a shaker. Shake well, then pour into a martinti glass. Top with the chocolate shavings.
