Not all seven grain breads are created equal. Here are the best seven grain breads.
As far as whole grain breads go, a good seven grain bread can be perfect for a piled high sandwich of cold cuts and cheese with lettuce and tomato. The hearty texture of most seven grain breads makes it filling. But not all seven grain breads are created equal. You want to find one with a good texture and flavor, too.

1. Pepperidge Farm® Farmhouse™ Harvest 7 Grain Bread

Calories: 110 per slice
Fiber: 3g per slice

This bread has visible grains and seeds in it; the texture is soft and light, but chewy; it has a lovely taste, a little sweet and a lot of hearty flavor. It’s similar in flavor to a white bread with whole grains inside and on top. As for the slices, they are on the large size. This one was the knockdown favorite.

2. Freihofer’s Hearty 7 Grain Bread

Calories: 110 per slice
Fiber: 4g per slice

This bread is more whole wheat in texture and appearance. It has a denser texture and a flavor that is a little sour. It just didn’t have that light, soft crumb that made other breads delectable. Overall? Not a hit.

3. Arnold Whole Grain Classics 7 Grain Bread

Calories: 100 per slice
Fiber: 3g per slice

This bread is also a darker slice, but the flavor is pleasant and there are visible grains. It has a light, chewy texture that makes it seem super fresh; however, it lacked the sweetness that rounds out the flavor. It’s a good bread...just not the favorite.

4. Rudi's Organic Bakery 7 Grain with Flax Bread

Calories: 100 calories per slice
Fiber: 4g per slice

This bread has smaller sized slices, which are more appropriate for kids and lunch boxes. It has a chewy texture that isn’t very whole wheat-ish (a certain good thing).
