Everybody is on Twitter these days ... including chefs. Here are the 10 best chefs to follow on Twitter:
1. Rick Bayless
– This chef is known for his commitment to authentic Mexican cuisine, and spreads his knowledge through cookbooks and a cooking show. On Twitter, Bayless talks about what's going on in his restaurant and offers up cooking advice. Best of all, he regularly responds to questions.
2. Jamie Oliver
– The Naked Chef is now a champion of healthier school lunches and he tweets about healthier, from scratch (ahem, naked) cooking. He also talks about what he’s up to.
3. Bobby Flay
– Bobby Flay, known for his cooking with Southwest flair, tweets about the menus at his many restaurants, where he is, and more. Although he’s unlikely to reply to other Twitter users, it does give you an insight into the famed New York chef.
4. Michael Symon
– His claim to fame came when he won “The Next Food Network Star.” But Chef Michael Symon has retained his seemingly down-to-earth qualities. In this Twitter profile, he lists “husband” before “chef,” that says something. He tweets a lot about what he’s up to.
5. Anne Burrell
– She’s been on several Food Network shows, and often appears as a sous chef on “Iron Chef America.” But she’s also a trained chef who loves “Project Runway” and calling everyone “doll.”
6. Shuna Fish Lydon
– Shuna Fish Lydon isn’t a television chef, but she has a wealth of great cooking knowledge and is a well-known chef blogger. Currently the pastry chef at Peels in New York, she tweets a lot about the experience of working in a kitchen.
7. Jon Ashton
– He’s the executive chef for “Relish” magazine. Ask him a culinary or industry question and he’ll probably respond.
8. Debbie Frangipane
@DolceDebbie – This working chef (and television chef) tweets about what she’s making and even sends out pictures of the creations in various stages of completion.
9. Bethenny Frankel
– Besides being a reality television star, Bethenny Frankel is a private chef and cookbook author. She’s also the creator of Skinnygirl™ Margaritas. She tweets about what she’s cooking up, and other fun topics.
10. Bridget Davis
– This Australian chef is a self-proclaimed flavor profiler. She shoots out a lot of interesting links to food related reads. She also tweets about what’s up with her cooking career.
